Fidelity Investments’ charitable fund is now accepting donations of bitcoin.
Fidelity Charitable, the largest donor-advised fund sponsor by assets, said Wednesday that it is working with Coinbase, a bitcoin wallet and platform for bitcoin transactions, to facilitate donations of the digital currency.
Matt Nash, senior vice president of donor engagement for Fidelity Charitable, said some donors and their financial advisers had asked if the fund would accept contributions of bitcoin.
